In Year 3 this term, children have been reading the story of Mr Gum. They enjoyed learning different methods to explore Mr Gum’s characteristics such as his appearance and his personality. They looked at using adjectives, expanded noun phrases and similes to make comparisons with other characters.
They wrote a final piece, which reflected the different strategies they had learnt along this writing journey. Children also used their personalised writing targets to support them in their writing.
