Black History Month is celebrated from 1st October to 31st October 2023. At Lathom, all students discussed in their classes the significance of Black History Month and how it is celebrated.
This year, each Year group was assigned a particular time period: Mid 1900s in Year 3; Mid 1700s to early 1800s in Year 4; Early 1900s in Year 5 and Late 1900s to present day in Year 6. Each Year group chose a black influential person within their time frame to research and created different learning outcomes.
Year 4 students from Pine class have chosen to showcase some of their amazing Black History work.
Our Black History Celebration will take place on Thursday 19th October 2023 from 2:10 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. Parents and carers, your children’s wonderful learning will be on display that day.
