As part of our RE unit, ‘How do people express their faith through the arts?’ Year 6 students visited the East London Buddhist Cultural Centre. There, the venerable monk, Makure Mangala Maha Thera, did a presentation of how Buddhism was found and how it is similar or different to other religions throughout the world.
Then, children had the opportunity to ask him questions and learn more fascinating facts about this inspiring religion.
