Children wrote a story based on Barney’s adventure, drawing inspiration from the book ‘Stig of the Dump’. They explored writing setting descriptions using detailed descriptions as well as worked on character descriptions of Stif.
In addition, children used this to explore writing a story about a boy who finds himself falling into a dump where they draw on their setting and character descriptions to tell an interesting narrative.
