Egyptian visitor day

For History, Year 5 students are studying the marvellous Ancient Egyptians. To help us get even more excited, visitors came to the school and taught us about many different aspects of Ancient Egyptian life. The day started when we were introduced to an explorer who had found an Ancient Egyptian tomb. Unfortunately, she had been cursed with a dancing curse which the classes needed to help her cure.

Over the course of the day, we learnt about mummification, how high priestess liked to party and how the Ancient Egyptians believed humans were made. We also met a wide range of characters including a pharaoh, a stone mason and an Egyptian god!
