On Wednesday 7th June 2023, students from Lathom Junior School participated in the Newham semi-finals Spelling Bee competition held at Elmhurst Primary School. The following children were part of the competition: Inayah from Polar class, Year 3; Musa from Yew class, Year 4; Kansika from Beech class, Year 5 and Yaafi from Hazel class, Year 6. We would like to applaud our students for their outstanding performance at the event. Then, they moved on to the conundrum game for Years 5 and 6 students, which was against another Newham school, New City Primary School and managed to get the first two conundrums out of a selection of three. They qualified for the finals, which will take place on the 4th July 2023.
