As part of our PSHCE unit, Year 6 students explored community and pressure (action) groups and discussed how these groups help or support the community. In groups, children selected a voluntary, community or action group. They researched their chosen group and find out the following:
What is the aim of the group?
What is their ‘mission statement’?
What do they do?
Who or what do they help or support?
Then, children designed and created posters encouraging people to volunteer for, support or join the group they have researched.
