Music Art in Year 4

During an art lesson, students in Year 4 listened to a piece of music by Vivaldi, who wrote four compositions based on The Four Seasons.  In this lesson, children listened to music and drew what they could see in ‘their minds’ eye’ – visualisation.  In addition, they recalled the abstract art which uses shapes and colours to represent thoughts and feelings.  Given a range of materials, children created an image which matched the music piece.  At the end of the session, they are encouraged to move around the classroom to look at each other’s work and then discuss the similarities and differences.

The lovely artwork below is from students from Pine class. Well done!
