Remember Together: John McCrae 150

On Wednesday 9th November, Year 6 pupils participated in an online event where they discovered the story behind the poppies. They learnt about one of the world’s most famous poems, In Flanders Fields, and its links to the poppy as a symbol of commemoration.

During this session, children creatively commemorated John McCrae, explored his incredible legacy and celebrated the continuing friendship between young people around the world. Finally, they wrote their own poems and designed their own poppies!
