Updates before Easter break

What a difference the lovely weather made last week – we were all able to be outside enjoying our PE in the sunshine. It was such a pleasure to hear and see everyone supporting each other.

Year 3 enjoyed their visits to Tate Britain and the Henry Moore galleries – his sculptures are amazing. Please click on the link, which gives you more information about Henry Moore and his studio: Henry Moore studios and Garden.

Year 5 enjoyed their visit to the Stratford East theatre and The Unicorn Theatre’s production of Marvin’s Binoculars. Looking through his binoculars, Marvin (the main character) discovers wildlife and friendship in the most unlikely places. The story touches on themes of racial prejudice, and is a highly engaging and vibrant show that inspires children to explore the outdoors in their local green spaces. Please find out more from your children.

Year 6 were delighted to have a visit from The Right Honourable Stephen Timms our local MP. I was so proud to be Lathom’s Headteacher, our Year 6 children conducted themselves admirably in the way that they engaged, and participated in the Q&A session. They really are the leaders of tomorrow!

Congratulations are well-deserved to our Cheerleading Team who came back with a Silver award and trophy, thanks to staff for supporting them.

This week we are looking forward to the Easter-themed activities that are planned, especially the Easter-Egg hunt and the Easter Bonnet parade.
