Y5 visit to Cineworld

This month, the Intu Film Festival makes it possible for schools to book a free film screening for students to have a ‘big screen’ experience. On Wednesday 8th November, a group of Year 5 students watched a visually impactful documentary – ‘A crack in the mountain’ at Cineworld, Ilford.

It featured the world’s largest cave, Hang Son Doong in central Vietnam’s Phong Nha-Ka Bang National Park. It also highlights the geographical beauty of the cave and discussions about the fight to protect it since its discovery.

Children will make connections with their current learning about biomes in their Geography unit with new learning about Vietnam.
