This term, children have been exploring the core text, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol. They imagined what the character, Alice would see if she were to open the imaginary world and wrote poems.
At the end of the writing unit, The Mad Hatter’s Party, based on the text, was organised by the year group. Children and staff members wore their own hats, dressed as characters from the book and had a tea party in the playground on Thursday 22nd June 2023. Some children dressed as characters acted in role during the tea party.
Year 4 students enjoyed the tea party experience and off course, the amazing weather.
