On Wednesday 4th May 2022, Year 5 students went on an educational visit to The London Eye. This term, they have been reading the core text, The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd. This mystery text is based on a young boy called Salim, who had boarded the London Eye but when it landed, he was not in sight – perhaps he disappeared into thin air? Because of Salim’s tragic experience, his courageous cousins Kat and Ted venture out to solve this unexplainable mystery.
Children were thrilled about the visit especially when they boarded the London Eye pod number 17. One student reflected, “In my opinion, the view was absolutely tremendous! The pod took thirty minutes to go around once.”
